About The Position

SouthernCarlson is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead daily warehouse operations and promote an efficient, safe, productive, and well-organized distribution environment. The manager oversees staffing, logistics, inventory, and facility operations while developing a strong team culture and implementing continuous improvements to support business goals.

The role includes hands-on oversight of distribution processes and procedures, leadership of distribution center staff, safety and training programs, facility and equipment maintenance, budget management, and short- and long-range planning for the Distribution Center.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related warehouse or distribution experience, including a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with warehouse management and inventory systems.
• Ability to analyze opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across organizational levels and functions.
• Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment and achieve business goals.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• Ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage distribution processes, procedures, staffing, logistics, and daily operations hands-on.
• Provide leadership and direction to all levels of distribution center staff to support efficient, productive operations.
• Hire, train, and coach employees on performance.
• Develop, implement, and manage programs and training to ensure the safety of staff, equipment, and property.
• Maintain the facility and equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and uninterrupted operation.
• Develop, recommend, and manage budgets and expenditures.
• Develop short-term and long-range plans for the Distribution Center.
• Complete other duties or special projects as assigned.
