Distribution Center Coordinator
About The Position
The compensation for this role is between $64,800 - $85,000 CAD annually, based on experience and qualifications. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make sound decisions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Successful completion of a C-TPAT background check
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Experience using RF scanning technology and/or SAP
- Knowledge of C-TPAT requirements and Ontario Health & Safety legislation
- Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma experience
- First Aid certification
- Forklift operating experience
Responsibilities
- Support accurate and timely order fulfillment to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Coordinate warehouse and yard operations to meet operational performance targets
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of distribution centre employees
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audit activities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring service and quality standards are met
- Investigate operational issues and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with teams across logistics, production, customer service, sales, transportation, and procurement
- Support employee onboarding, training, performance management, and development
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
