About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the RaceTrac warehouse. This individual works to ensure quality orders are processed and shipped to the designated locations in a timely fashion. This position requires working until end-of-shift until all product is loaded onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Working weekends and holidays are required in order to successfully fulfill store orders. Job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on different work environments (Dry, Cooler, & Freezer). You may wonder- how do RaceTrac stores stay fully stocked with your favorite items? It's all thanks to our Distribution Center teams. Our team members make sure our fresh food, drinks, and products are ready to be delivered daily to our stores. Requirements

  • 1+ years relevant experience required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Access required
  • Highschool Diploma/ GED
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist for extended periods of time with minimal breaks.
  • Ability to reach up to 72 inches to retrieve and stack product.
  • Ability to work in environments with temperature variations, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer areas (as low as –8°F).
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work at a sustained, fast pace for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
  • Has the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches, and repeatedly bends, stands, and reaches while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelf areas, with no or infrequent breaks
  • Has the ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment
  • Has the ability to work a flexible schedule including to varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Carries out daily warehouse tasks to ultimately support an efficient and effective warehouse.
  • Uses WMS unit technology to pick product within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer (up to -8) areas for the store orders
  • Stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures
  • Operates an electric/ manual pallet jack and/or forklift to transport products
  • Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, WMS unit technology, and personal protective equipment.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and safely operates all mechanical equipment.
  • Codes dating product
  • Cleans the warehouse and associated equipment
  • Stages product in designated locations for shipping purposes
  • Loads product from designated locations onto delivery trucks
  • Labels totes with routing information
  • Shrink-wraps product onto pallets
  • Bales cardboard and disposes of garbage
  • Sorts totes and trays
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, including both food and warehouse safety regulations, and immediately advises management of any unsafe conditions
  • Safely and efficiently receives product from vendors
  • Puts received product into designated location in the warehouse
