About The Position

This is a temporary position focused on conducting order fulfillment, inventory receiving, inventory put away, inventory transfers, and lab replenishment. The role requires basic computer proficiency for a computer-based system. Tasks include product date stamping, breaking down boxes, general cleanup, and other duties as required by workflow and workload. Basic warehousing and distribution operations tasks are also part of the role. Warehouse experience is preferred, but candidates with other backgrounds are welcome. A clean driving record is a plus.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Ability to lift/carry material in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift and/or reach for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to understand simple mathematics and inventory flow.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions received through written orders, electronic display and/or audio device.
  • Must be available to work additional assignments on any shifts (in addition to the part-time regular schedule) as needed including weekends, holidays, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Prior related experience, preferred.
  • A clean driving record is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs receiving duties including: Verifying accuracy of warehouse deliveries by comparing to purchase orders, inspecting items for damage or defects, completing appropriate paperwork and entering information into department computer system, unloading and unpacking items from delivery vehicle, and transporting and storing items in appropriate warehouse location.
  • Performs distribution duties including: Filling pick-list requests for warehouse items, preparing and packing items for delivery, utilizing packing materials and transport units according to established policies and procedures, loading requisitioned items onto delivery vehicle for transport to various sites, and completing appropriate paperwork and entering information into department computer system.
  • Operates motorized and manual material handling equipment including, but not limited to, fork lift, pallet jacks and reach trucks.
  • Meets established receiving / distribution standards of operation.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment according to established policies and procedures.
  • Performs related duties, as required.
