About The Position

The San Diego Clinical Supply Services Distribution Associate is responsible for executing core warehouse functions including picking, packing, receiving, inventory handling, and shipment verification while adhering to established procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of experience in warehousing, distribution or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry preferred as well as using powered industrial trick equipment.
  • Experience in GMP related industry is highly preferred.
  • this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional requirement to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for hours at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Use JDE/MES or applicable systems to pick, pack, verify, and process shipments (small parcel and bulk orders) under ambient, refrigerated, and frozen conditions (including -80°C as applicable)
  • Perform order verification at pack-out, including final verification, labeling, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Receive incoming materials, verify against documentation, and accurately enter receipts into inventory systems and logs. Pick, stage, and prepare materials for packaging and shipment in accordance with order requirements and SOPs
  • Execute packing activities in compliance with defined packaging configurations, temperature requirements, and handling procedures
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy through routine counting, reconciliation, and discrepancy identification
  • Support warehouse location management, including consolidation and reorganization of inventory to optimize storage capacity and accessibility
  • Proactively manage warehouse space by consolidating materials and organizing locations during periods of lower order volume to maintain efficient operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready warehouse in accordance with 6S standards, including routine sweeping, cleaning, and organization of work areas
  • Support material movement activities using appropriate equipment and systems with adherence to safety and GMP requirements
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment as trained (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, lifts) in accordance with site safety policies
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
