About The Position
Hilco Vision, a global eye care company with a state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, Ohio, is seeking experienced Distribution Associates to join their team. These positions are responsible for picking, packing, and shipping within the department, requiring both accuracy and speed to meet customer demands and company expectations. Overtime may be mandatory, and some Saturdays may be scheduled with advance notice. The shift for this role is 3pm-11:30pm.
Requirements
- Able to work independently and within a team environment; understanding that the customer need is of the utmost importance
- Can read, write, and speak English
- Multi-tasking skills, working on different orders at once
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable with using a ladder, comfortable with heights of 10’
- Capable of lifting boxes that weigh up to 40lbs
Nice To Haves
- Lot number experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders at department standard pick/pack rates
- Receive and put away inventory
- Ensure product meets quality requirements
- Use scanners to read bar codes on products
- View prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasks
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Operate power industrial trucks such as a forklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 35 feet for order picking
- Maintain a neat and clean work area.
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards
