About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Distribution Analyst to join our team located in Irving, Texas. The Distribution Analyst supports distribution and warehousing operations by providing insights, performance monitoring, and network visibility. The role focuses on execution, inventory flow, labor efficiency, and service performance to manage risks and drive improvement. They develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and operate within the supply chain control tower. The position partners with distribution, supply chain, and analytics teams to ensure consistent metrics, early issue identification, and alignment with overall plans.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field required.
3 to 6 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, supply chain analytics, or operations support.
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards required.
Strong collaboration skills and continuous improvement mindset.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting SIOP, IBP, or similar planning processes preferred.
Experience working in or supporting distribution center operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards tracking distribution and warehousing KPIs (throughput, productivity, inventory accuracy, service level, on-time shipments).
Standardize dashboard definitions, data logic, and reporting cadence across all distribution centers.
Monitor DC performance and proactively identify risks related to capacity, labor, congestion, and inventory flow.
Analyze inbound/outbound volume trends to support staffing, slotting, and capacity planning.
Conduct data-driven root cause analysis for performance gaps, shipment delays, and inventory discrepancies.
Track adherence to SOPs and highlight deviations impacting service, cost, or safety.
Partner with Distribution leaders to translate insights into actionable improvement plans.
Provide visibility to support coordination across distribution, planning, and transportation teams.
Support benchmarking, best practice sharing, and continuous improvement across the network.
