About The Position

The main priorities for the Distribution Analyst (DA) will be providing Strategic Analysis, Standard Reports, Non-Distribution Support, and Communication Assistance for the Business Unit (BU), Senior Director of Distribution (DOD), and Distributor Partner Managers (DPMs). This role involves analyzing preliminary revenue and budget data, supporting BU/SDOD forecasting, conducting distribution cost budget analyses, and validating invoices. The DA will also be responsible for creating and maintaining standard reports, measuring project results, and providing execution reporting for various business units. Additionally, the role requires supporting other functions such as Headquarters, National Accounts, and other BU departments, as well as managing the Regional National Account Survey Process. Communication with Distributor Partner finance departments and the RBNA payment center is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in Analyst role within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Experience in facilitating working relationships with finance leads at Distributor Partners
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to convert analytics into insights
  • Sales-orientation, understands sales drivers and connections between data and sales execution
  • Good Communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Understanding of core distribution roles and organization
  • Knowledge of retail landscape (local accounts, regional accounts, and National accounts)
  • Comfortable in a non-field role (e.g., 90% in Office)
  • Ability to work cross functionally with RBNA, Business Unit, and retailers
  • Ability to work comfortably with IT (“techy by nature”)
  • High-Level understanding of RBNA reporting technology and capabilities
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Provide Strategic Analysis, Standard Reports, Non-Distribution Support, and Communication Assistance for the Business Unit (BU), Senior Director of Distribution (DOD), and Distributor Partner Managers (DPMs).
  • Analyze preliminary revenue and budget data for SDOD approval.
  • Participate in the Planning Cycle, including roll-up, plan-to-actual gap analyses, and progress reporting.
  • Validate Distributor Partner (DP) performance and live annual business plans.
  • Support BU/SDOD Forecasting.
  • Conduct Distribution Cost Budget Analyses.
  • Validate invoices and direct them to Distributor Partners for clean-up.
  • Develop and improve standardized reporting, such as the “Chain Performance Tracker”.
  • Measure Phase 1 DP Management Project Results.
  • Generate canned reports as defined by BU, DP management project, and team needs.
  • Provide Execution Reporting for RBNA SDOD BU Reporting, including issues, actions required, and status.
  • Support other functions including Headquarters, National Accounts, and other BU departments (Regional Account Manager, Director of Marketing, Key Account Managers, On-Premise, Musketeers, etc.).
  • Manage the Regional National Account Survey Process.
  • Communicate directly with Distributor Partner finance departments regarding invoicing.
  • Liaise with the RBNA payment center.
  • Provide SDOD weekly updates and prepare for monthly sales meetings.
  • Report on DP Invoice Payables Aging and Problem Status.
