About The Position

The purpose of the role is to support Wholesale Lending with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution. This involves monitoring the bank's lending operations for efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. The role requires collaboration with various teams across the bank to integrate Wholesale Lending processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop/implement procedures and controls to mitigate risks. Additionally, the position involves developing reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance for senior stakeholders and staying informed about industry trends to implement best practices. Participation in projects to enhance Wholesale Lending efficiency and effectiveness is also a key aspect.

Requirements

  • Extensive Loan closing experience with Par/Distressed/Equity trade closing
  • The ability to work closely with trading and settlement functions investigating multi-layered fixed income and equity transactions.
  • Prior experience with loan distributions and reorganization events.
  • The aptitude to learn new software/applications
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, Clearpar, Loan IQ.
  • Broadridge, BPS, Impact, Gloss (Equity and Fixed Income systems experience)

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Wholesale Lending initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise.
  • Monitor the bank’s lending operations to ensure that they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Develop and implement Wholesale Lending procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Wholesale Lending Services.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale Lending efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
  • Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes.
  • Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments.
  • Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
