About The Position

CrowdStrike’s Falcon Host is a two-component security product. Its sensor is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-device prevention, and sends telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second, correlating and analyzing endpoint activity to identify and block malicious behavior. The cloud component aggregates customer telemetry, correlates threats across machines, and presents operations teams with prioritized threat summaries. This Distinguished Software Development Engineer role is on the CTIO team, which delivers technology innovation for CrowdStrike’s lightweight sensor across Linux, Windows, and macOS. The role owns the design and development of core platform features, including features that cross operating-system subsystems such as filesystems, memory, processes, and networking. Some features use shared components across platforms. The team follows Agile development principles and ships frequently. The CTIO team defines and executes the company’s technology vision and strategy, drives innovation, and oversees the Falcon platform’s development and evolution. The team works to maintain CrowdStrike’s technology leadership through engineering excellence, alignment with business objectives, and anticipation of emerging threats and market trends.
