About The Position
Operation and Troubleshooting of Distillation and processing equipment. This role involves running distillation and reaction process equipment, managing inventory through paperwork transfers, charging stills, and performing process plumbing lineups with hoses, hard lines, and fittings. The operator will be responsible for packaging citrus oils in drums, pails, and gallon containers using various methods, sampling and labeling distillation cuts, and running GC analysis on cuts and in-process samples. Decision-making regarding run condition changes based on analysis is also a key part of the role. Additionally, the position requires maintaining housekeeping of the work area, adhering to GMP/HACCP/Food Safety Standards, and operating a forklift for drum and pail pallet handling and drum picker usage.
Requirements
- GED-HS Diploma Req.
- Simple Mathematics understanding Req. (Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division)
- Experience in chemical processing and automated control systems a plus
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Large volume liquid handling a plus
- HACCP/GMPs
