Prisoner Express, a program of the Durland Alternatives Library, provides incarcerated men and women with information, education, and opportunities for creative self-expression in a public forum. This role involves supporting the distance learning program by reviewing prisoner responses, compiling interesting answers, creating distance learning packets, maintaining a participant database, packing books, and responding to prisoner inquiries. Additionally, students will be trained in general library work, including circulation desk responsibilities and other administrative tasks like filing, typing, and data entry.
