About The Position

The Dispensing Pharmacist 2 works onsite at the Orlando, FL CenterWell Dispensing Center. As a Dispensing Pharmacist you will manage the accurate and timely dispensing of prescribed medications to patients. The Dispensing Pharmacist's work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Requirements

• Bachelors of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Active Pharmacist license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
• Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
• Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
• Proficient with computers
• Work onsite full time at the CenterWell dispensing Center located at 11010 Florida Crown Dr. Suite 200 Orlando, FL 32824

Nice To Haves

• Active California license with the California board of pharmacy as a pharmacist
• 3 or more years' experience in a high-volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
• Ability to be licensed in multiple states as a pharmacist
• Experience in a high-volume mail order and/or retail setting
• Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group

Responsibilities

• Help prepare prescriptions through a highly automated system
• Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
• Work with fellow health care team members
• Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy
• Process and check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill Braille and Talking Vial orders
• Research medication issues
• Other tasks as assigned by management
