About The Position

Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, the Dispensing Pharm Tech will be responsible for the dispensing of oral oncology medications for the patients of the Company. This role will encompass all dispensing functions within the Pharmacy, including accurately counting and filling oral oncology medications, ordering and stocking medications and supplies, and packing and shipping medications. The individual will demonstrate a working knowledge of all facets of the role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Additional duties and projects may be assigned, and all duties must be performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) required (FL).
Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills.
Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness.
Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
Good command of the English language.
Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
Strong customer focus.
Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.

Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook preferred.

Nice To Haves

Five years’ experience in specialty, retail, or hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician preferred.
Second language is an asset but not required.
