About The Position

Crossroads Turning Points is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Dispensing Nurse (Part-Time and PRN) for their program. This role is responsible for measuring and dispensing methadone and other medications in accordance with doctors' orders, adhering to regulations from the FDA, DEA, and OBH. The position also involves providing nursing services and maintaining medical records for the Opioid Treatment Program. The company emphasizes making a positive impact on individuals navigating substance misuse and mental health challenges, guiding them toward healthier lifestyles and recovery in a warm, welcoming environment. This position is exclusively for day shift hours, Tuesday - Saturday, 5 AM to 2 PM. All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana testing), a comprehensive background check, and a TB test.

Requirements

  • LPN or RN license for the State of Colorado or a multi-state license.
  • Continuing education in human services, psychology, and related fields is required.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws regarding medication dispensing, storage, and accountability.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must complete a pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana testing), a comprehensive background check, and a TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the substance use treatment field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering, receiving, dispensing, and record-keeping medication according to applicable rules and regulations.
  • Coordinating with program Supervisors and Behavioral Health Clinicians to ensure accurate dispensing of all medications per physician orders.
  • Dosing and documenting all methadone doses within scheduled clinic hours.
  • Reporting inconsistencies and problems regarding the handling of controlled substances to the immediate Supervisor.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area and immediately reporting any potential hazards to the immediate Supervisor.
  • Observing patients for urine analyses.
