About The Position

Under the supervision of the Manager of Dispensing Operations, this pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care and services to FCS and Rx To Go’s patients. The Specialty Pharmacy service requirements include but are not limited to: handling oral oncology medications, prescription verification, REMS compliance, dispensing, distribution, inventory and quality management, and other functions necessary for optimal specialty pharmacy performance. Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Pharm D. or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
  • license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction(s) is current, unrestricted, active and in good standing
  • The applicable jurisdiction for this role is Florida
  • Understanding and knowledge of Specialty or Retail Pharmacy required
  • Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness
  • Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters
  • Good command of the English language

  • All new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacist in Charge duties assigned as applicable
  • Active Pharmacist License in additional jurisdiction preferred
  • Pharmacist in Charge duties assigned as applicable
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) or BCOP candidate preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of retail pharmacy experience is preferred
  • Second language is an asset but not required
