About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Dispatcher for their Cambridge, Ontario office. This role involves receiving and processing customer orders, acting as a primary point of contact for customers, coordinating and dispatching deliveries, scheduling orders, and resolving service issues. The position requires maintaining accurate records using dispatch and order management systems.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence using order entry, customer facing and dispatch computer-based systems (i.e. SAP, Command Series)
  • Problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative independently

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming customer orders with accuracy and professionalism
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, including handling incoming order requests and service inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate and dispatch deliveries to support efficient daily operations
  • Schedule orders and communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Resolve service issues and respond to inquiries with accuracy and care
  • Maintain accurate records using dispatch and order management systems
