About The Position

Wachter is looking for a confident, highly organized Dispatcher to join their team and drive nationwide operations. In this role, the Dispatcher will be the heartbeat of their projects, dispatching technicians across the country, managing critical documentation, and ensuring billing and deliverables are precise. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who excels at supporting project managers and maintaining high professional standards. Wachter is a family-owned company since 1930, serving commercial and industrial clients with the right technologies needed to keep them successful. They design, install, and maintain technologies, with a team of dedicated electricians, engineers, and technicians providing electrical, data, security, communications, and automation services to clients in numerous industries.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Talking on the phone with peers and technicians.
  • Able to work Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • Highly proficient with the use of computers, including email, spreadsheets, and database Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, and organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and task switch efficiently.
  • Must type at least 40 WPM.
  • Willing to work overtime and be available for some calls after hours.

Nice To Haves

  • College Education or degree highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an updated, organized, and fast-paced schedule.
  • Confidently be able to call technicians and dispatch them on jobs nationwide.
  • Track COI's.
  • Manage deliverables for completed jobs.
  • Creation of BIS's for billing.
  • Provide any necessary documentation for service tickets.
  • Assist the Project Manager with daily operational tasks.
  • Provide administrative and logistical project support.
  • Create and maintains project files.
  • Assist in project scheduling and billing.
  • Maintain the company's high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements.
