About The Position

We have 2 opportunities for weekend dispatchers - Schedules available would be Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday 4:30am-4:30pm). This is a position that requires you to work in a fast paced, frequently changing environment. Must be able to multi-task, handle high volume phone calls, and be proficient working with multiple computer programs.

Requirements

High School Diploma, or equivalent
2+ years of prior dispatch experience
Fluent Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with familiarity of Access, or other similar database software
Able to work independently, as well as work with the Team
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and strong attention to detail are required

Responsibilities

Schedule or dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, and needs, using radios or telephones.
Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
Receive or prepare work orders.
Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors using telephones or the computer.
Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
Prepare daily work and run schedules.
Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards.
Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
Reading and analyzing current market conditions and product pricing to maximize cost efficiency.
