About The Position
We are a Texas Based - Texas Proud waste solutions provider servicing your local residential, commercial and municipal trash and recycling needs. Requirements
- 1 year of dispatching in waste industry highly preferred
- General understanding of Federal and State Regulations as it pertains to DOT
- Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills
- Ability to interact with difficult and demanding customers
- Read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents
- Strong proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task using multi-line phone and computer
- Ability to function as a team and get along with others
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of dispatching in waste industry highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assign loads to drivers based on designated routes and driver location
- Prepare, update and dispense the daily route schedule
- Gather and maintain route sheet documentation for pick-ups (scheduled, missed, extra pick ups), route completions and driver locations
- Adjust dispatch plans and reallocate drivers as necessary to meet service needs (breakdowns, lateness, driver hours available, etc.)
- Assist drivers with delivery orders, directions, instructions, mileage information.
- Communicate with customers in a timely & effective manner
- Research and resolve customer issues quickly and accurately
- Ensure route completion via the driver check-in process
- Monitor and utilize web-based applications, tools, and reports
- Enter truck, driver, and load information to software and spreadsheets
- Report driver performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
