About The Position

The primary function of the Dispatcher and Operations Support role is to support the area managers in the functions of operations and the ordering and delivery of materials to customers. This individual supports the operations and dispatch teams to promote corporate policies, procedures, and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Ability to quickly and accurately perform basic math skills
  • Ability to quickly read a road/geographical map and communicate directions
  • Organization skills demonstrated in job performance
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions with limited guidance
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 70% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for fast, accurate processing of sales orders, setting up job information, confirming & appropriate reports which support sales order processing.
  • Assist department with implementation and training on DQ installation.
  • Processing credit memos on the computer.
  • Assist customers with will call orders.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and staff.
  • Responsible for front counter, office/dispatch, restroom, and yard/warehouse cleanliness.
  • Responsible for ensuring that trucks are clean.
  • Coordinate all equipment transfers between branches and assist with paperwork associated.
