Requirements

2+ years experience dispatching dealing with 30+ drivers
Must be able to operate effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced environment
TMS skills - Road Net and Omni Tracs preferred
MS Office proficient - Excel, Word & Outlook
Accustomed to dealing with and communicating with drivers
Candidate must be flexible with hours

Responsibilities

Track all drivers throughout the day
Send regular driver status updates as requested
Respond to ETA requests
Recognize and advise the supervisor on the shift of any drivers showing delays or other potential issues that will result in a driver returning later than scheduled or not being able to complete their route
Record any concerns or feedback from drivers (i.e. Route order, condition of load)
Answering calls in dispatch – resolve issues and or bring them to the supervisor's attention
Assisting drivers with issues at vendors
Assist with resolving discrepancies, customer concerns, product shorts, invoicing, and returns
Any other issues preventing the driver from moving along including mechanical failures and breakdowns
Support shift supervisor with various requests related to transportation
Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
Anticipate inbound shipments based on available information, and proactively track shipments
Assist with invoicing and billing process and or updates
Respond to customer requests for shipment status
Respond to e-mail and telephone requests in a timely manner
Respond to issues as escalated, and escalate unresolved issues to Transportation Management
