About The Position

The primary responsibility of this role is answering inbound calls to various company lines, directing callers to the appropriate departments, and collecting necessary information to set up tow requests. The dispatcher will use map resources to determine pickup and tow destinations, gather details for drivers, and communicate effectively with customers and other dispatchers to manage availability and ETAs. This is a part-time, floater position with a rotating schedule, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the greater St. Louis area.
  • Ability to utilize map and GPS technology.
  • Basic automotive understanding.
  • Knowledge of towing basics and the services we offer.

  • Prior experience in an office environment is preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to speak and read English fluently is required.
  • Must be able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor while effectively gathering information necessary to provide needed assistance.
  • Minimal tasks that require lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying medium weight (25-30 pound) loads.
  • Employees must be able to communicate in a clear, understandable manner via phone and in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Answering inbound calls to A2B, Bolin, A&A, Cardinal, Hoods, and Crash City main lines.
  • Directing callers to impound & equipment when needed.
  • Collecting needed information to set up a customer's tow request.
  • Using map resources to determine the correct location for pickup and tow destination.
  • Collecting necessary information for the driver based on the circumstances of the call.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and the dispatcher on duty to determine availability and ETA.
  • Swiftly and accurately creating calls in Towbook software.
  • Entering appropriate call details, charges, and addresses in calls.
  • Communicating all pertinent information in the call notes as needed.
