About The Position

The Dispatcher oversees and coordinates driver activities by updating websites and monitoring route timeliness. The role communicates professionally with suppliers, customers, drivers, internal departments, and terminal locations. The position is onsite at 9370 Madison Blvd, Madison, Alabama, and reports to the Shift Supervisor. The schedule is 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
• Ability to learn new programs as necessary.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work some weekend shifts when requested by the customer.

Nice To Haves

• Prior dispatch, route management, and dispatching experience.
• Working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of TMW software.
• Organized, responsible, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace drivers, tractors, and shipments to support on-time delivery.
• Manage drivers in accordance with current company policies and procedures.
• Dispatch drivers to and from the facility and manage driver routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and internal and external customers.
• Update websites and monitor route timeliness.
