Block by Block is seeking experienced Dispatchers to join their team. This role involves managing high call volumes, monitoring CCTV, and quarterbacking Hospitality, Maintenance, and Safety Teams. Requirements

  • Experience in Dispatching.
  • Hospitality skills are required.
  • Nevada Driver's License required.
  • Proficient in computer operations and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong multitasking and quick decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated, team playing, and detail-focused work ethic.
  • Ability to move fluidly from task to task while remaining nimble.
  • Multitasking and organizational expertise.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using Dell and Apple product use.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and write proficiently in the English language.
  • Proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, quiet, and professional atmosphere in the reception and dispatch areas.
  • Ability to competently perform all the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to effective customer service delivery.
  • Ability to work productively as a member of a team or work group.

Responsibilities

  • Logging incident reports and handling emergency calls in the dispatch office.
  • Accurately assessing customer needs and developing an effective rapport in all service interactions.
  • Responding to emails and submitting maintenance work orders in an efficient manner.
  • Answering phone calls from the public, property owners, and local businesses, providing answers or redirecting them to the appropriate person/department.
  • Assigning, coordinating, and maneuvering all team members via a two-way radio to assure proper coverage of the district, call team members in for break times, and dispatch team members to handle any and all calls for service.
  • Assigning, verifying, and reporting outcomes of daily shift assignments, projects, and tasks.
  • Ensuring that all necessary reports are completed correctly and submitted by each team member at the conclusion of the shift.
  • Receiving, processing, and coordinating maintenance repair calls and written requests.
  • Ensuring service delivery, work orders, and special projects are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Communicating with clients daily to maintain a first-class relationship using phone, email, reports, internal, client, and 3rd-party systems.
  • Working with internal staff (Team Leads, Ops Supervisors, Ops Manager, General Manager, and others) to communicate customer requirements and to resolve any challenges or issues.
  • Performing other duties, activities, or projects as assigned.
