Provides radio and telephone communications support for cooperative personnel, members of the association, local government organizations and the public. Dispatches servicemen, as needed, to handle and restore service to consumers, including power outages and other problems. Provides servicemen with necessary information to restore service. Maintains constant monitoring of all communications in the field to know where service crews are located. Maintains outage records, fills out applications for service orders, etc. Uses and operates various software applications such as Outage Management System (OMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Customer Information Systems (CIS). Answers telephone calls and observes proper telephone etiquette dealing with members and other outside agencies. Performs security walk through and monitors remote security cameras. Keeps abreast on policies and procedures as required. Performs remote connects and reconnects. Maintains communication logs pertaining to outages and lock-out/tag-out. Communicates with power suppliers and other utilities. Participates in training sessions to improve knowledge and abilities. Performs routine housekeeping in operations center as needed.
