About The Position

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area. The Dispatcher I assesses customer needs and timing of deliveries, manages the daily delivery schedule for drivers, and plans deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets. They receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors, and provide frontline customer service for existing accounts. Key duties include answering incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, monitoring e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and team communication, and monitoring web portals for station inventories. The role also involves soliciting freight from customers, creating loads in the dispatch system, dividing dispatch responsibilities with other team members, and entering incidents into KITS (incident reporting system). On-call duties are also a requirement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent conflict resolution and skills
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
