About The Position

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area. The role involves assessing customer needs and timing of deliveries, managing the daily delivery schedule for drivers, and planning deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets. The dispatcher will also receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors, and provide frontline customer service for existing accounts. Key tasks include monitoring e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and team communication, as well as monitoring web portals for station inventories and soliciting freight from customers. The dispatcher will create loads in the dispatch system, divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members, and enter incidents into KITS (incident reporting system). On-call duties are also a requirement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent conflict resolution and skills
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries

Receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors
Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and communication between team members
Monitor web portals for station inventories
Solicit freight from customers
Create loads in dispatch system
Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members
Enter incidents into KITS (incident reporting system)
On-call duties as needed
Promote positive work habits including effective and timely communication, teamwork and respect for co-workers.
Provide constructive guidance to other employees and representatives of third parties.
