About The Position

The job of Facilities & Construction Dispatcher is done for the purpose of directing all incoming telephone calls to appropriate technical resource; coordinating work assignments for technicians and leads; and providing general clerical support. This job reports to Director of Maintenance & Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Answers all incoming phone calls for the purpose of directing them to the appropriate technical resource.
  • Coordinates emergency procedures with utilities, technicians, emergency agencies and administration for the purpose of ensuring district's resources are effectively utilized.
  • Coordinates work assignments for technician and leads for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the workforce and meeting the needs of the district.
  • Logs all work orders in system database for the purpose of documenting activities and/or relating activities to administration for action.
  • Maintains daily communications with field staff for the purpose of ensuring work orders are completed or reassigned as necessary.
  • Tracks progress of work orders for the purpose of making changes to the schedule as necessary.
  • Ability to create graphs and spreadsheets to disseminate information to supervisors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
