Dispatcher - Ambulance - Full Time
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. Responsible for receiving requests for ground medical transport, initiating the mobilization of the appropriate teams, communicating with referring hospitals/services, map reading, math skills and documentation. Perform data entry using the computer and typing any other documentation as assigned. Remain flexible for staffing patterns, maintain a sense of pride and ownership for the program, perform data entry at the time of call, work with people in phone conversations involving pediatric to geriatric ages of patients.
Requirements
- Must fulfill yearly continuing education requirements of the department
- Must complete orientation for various procedures and other in-service as required
- International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) - Certified Dispatcher required within six months from date of hire
- May require a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be 18 years or older (additional approval for those under 21 years old)
