About The Position

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the execution of daily operations within the department. This role involves reviewing and auditing driver logs and inspections, working closely with Safety & Compliance, and being accountable for production, supervision, and discipline of employees. The supervisor will monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards, enforce policy and procedure compliance, and coordinate with other departments. Problem-solving, training employees, and suggesting process improvements are key aspects of this position. Effective communication with drivers, clients, vendors, and employees is essential. The Dispatch Supervisor will also assist the Operations Manager with planning and budget processes, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED Required.
  • Four years industry experience required.
  • Two years supervisory required.
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location.
  • Must successfully pass an E-Verify Check.
