About The Position

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the execution of daily operations within the department. This role involves reviewing and auditing driver logs and inspections, working closely with Safety & Compliance, and being accountable for the production, supervision, and discipline of employees. The supervisor will monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards, enforce policy and procedure compliance, and coordinate with other departments. Key responsibilities include responding to and solving problems, training employees on job-specific duties, and making suggestions for process improvements. Effective communication with drivers, clients, vendors, and employees is essential. The role also involves assisting the Operations Manager with planning and budget processes, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED Required.
  • Four years industry experience required.
  • Two years supervisory required.
  • Problem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Client Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback.
  • Quality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of daily operations within the department.
  • Review & audit drivers logs and inspections.
  • Work closely with Safety & Compliance.
  • Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees.
