About The Position

Jusczak Trucking is a family-owned company with deep roots in the trucking industry since 1974, providing honest, dependable, and hassle-free freight solutions across North America. They are growing and looking for a detail-oriented Dispatch Specialist to support daily operations and ensure excellence in service, communication, safety and compliance. As a Dispatch Specialist, you will focus on monitoring fleet operations and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role is critical to maintaining efficiency, minimizing risk, and supporting drivers in meeting DOT and company requirements as daily monitoring of all trucks and drivers. This position plays an active role in fostering collaboration across dispatch, operations, and other supporting departments.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year experience in dispatching or transportation logistics required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GPS tracking or dispatch software preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Fleet Performance: Track truck locations, routes, and schedules using GPS and dispatch software to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Compliance Oversight: Verify driver logs, hours of service, and inspection reports to maintain DOT/FMSCA compliance.
  • Safety Enforcement: Ensure drivers adhere to company safety policies and promptly address any violations or incidents.
  • Driver Support: Communicate with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and reinforce compliance standards.
  • Incident Management: Respond to delays, breakdowns, and emergencies while documenting all actions taken.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate dispatch records and compliance documentation for audits and reporting.
  • Monitor and coach drivers: Monitor and coach drivers on safety, log accuracy, hours-of-service compliance, and proper log entry practices to ensure full DOT/FMCSA compliance.
