About The Position

The Routing & Dispatch Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods and services by managing the routing and dispatching of vehicles. The specialist acts as a communication hub between drivers, customers, and management to maintain smooth operations and high service standards. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in routing, dispatching, or logistics coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and delivery operations.
• Proficiency with routing and dispatch software or GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience with advanced route optimization tools and data analysis software.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign routes to drivers based on delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and customer priorities.
• Monitor real-time vehicle locations and adjust dispatch plans as needed to address delays or emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery statuses, and driver logs.
• Analyze routing data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule vehicle servicing and minimize downtime.
