About The Position

Responsible for communications into and within the hospital by use of the telephone switchboard, pagers, public address systems, and internal radio communications. Primary focus of the job is to respond quickly and courteously to all incoming calls, route these calls to the proper extension, and properly respond to procedures for emergency codes. Internal communications includes, but not limited to, the following departments: Maintenance, Shuttle, after hour Courier, Valet and Material Management services. Dispatch Operators also monitors CCTV and alarms (including medical gas alarms) for all of Mission Hospital and identified off Site facilities. Dispatch Operators will provide work orders for all maintenance and access requests and provide quick access restriction services for Mission Hospital.

Requirements

  • Required Education: High School Diploma
  • Required Experience: One year experience on Microsoft Windows and completion of Windows Competency testing

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred License: AAPCO Certification
  • Certification in Verbal Defense and Influence (VDI)
  • Preferred Experience: Other courses and certifications that would promote job performance
