Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• 1 years of related experience in transportation, including DTSC and DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of supervisory work preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of the Office and Dispatching in assigned terminal.
• Collaborates with dispatchers to ensure delivery of routes and modification of routes as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service and team leadership, planning, developing policies, delegation.
• Supervises the driver workforce in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Ensures full compliance of all DOT regulations including Hours of Service for all drivers.
• Interfaces with the Federal, State, and local agencies in a professional and effective manner.
• Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization, governmental officials, and outside agencies.
• Assists in efforts to identify environmental risks and recommends appropriate actions to improve environmental performance.
• Complies with safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
• Participates in continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
