This position is typically dedicated to a Dispatcher who demonstrates exemplary dispatch skills within an account or location, with the intention of taking on more responsibility. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that productivity and operational goals are met to deliver customer satisfaction. This individual will operate in a dynamic environment focused on continuous measurable improvement for the customer. Key functions include serving as a Lead Dispatcher to provide guidance and answer questions throughout the shift, addressing customer issues or escalating to management, backfilling for other dispatchers as needed, ensuring all necessary day-to-day operational forms are completed accurately, providing training for new hires and current staff, and monitoring and advising management if functional or productivity goals are not being met.
