About The Position

The Dispatch Associate keeps every delivery on track — routing jobs, supporting drivers and crews throughout the day, and addressing concerns as they arise. Using our GPS and routing software, this role plans routes that meet client needs, safety policies, and efficiency goals, and stays in constant communication with drivers and crew to ensure equipment arrives at the correct location on time. The Dispatch Associate also supports clients and the sales team with inquiries, serving as a key link between the field and the office.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, thriving under pressure with accuracy and efficiency
• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Strong working knowledge of GPS software applications, with the ability to learn multiple GPS and routing platforms
• Excellent customer service skills and verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working with diverse personalities
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Open availability to meet the demands of the business, including weekends and overtime as needed
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company/insurance standards
• Ability to pass a background check and submit to a drug test
• Frequently sitting, standing, and walking; frequently subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry, and vision to monitor screens

Nice To Haves

• Event rental industry experience is a plus
• Prior dispatching experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills preferred to communicate with our clients and team members

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage the work of the drivers and operations team to ensure work is accomplished consistent with company and safety requirements
• Assist with planning routes for jobs and crews using GPS software to comply with client needs, safety policies, and efficiency
• Provide timely responses and answers to emails, calls, and requests
• Clearly communicate directly with clients in time-sensitive situations, and support the sales team with inquiries
• Collaborate closely with drivers and crew to communicate urgent requests, and resolve delivery issues with drivers and clients
• Multi-task last-minute requests alongside established routes for the day
• Explain the proper use of equipment to team members and clients
• Build professional relationships with drivers, leading by example with energy, commitment, and dependability
