The approximate date of this internship is January 2027 June to June 2027, located in Orlando, FL.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and confidential information
- Experience in Entertainment (Vocal/Dance/Musical Theater)
- Ability to learn new software applications
- Strategic problem solver with creative problem-solving skills, strong oral/written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or graduate student
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge or exposure to performer contracts
- Understanding of the live performer experience
- Experience using systems such as Smartsheet, Airtable, etc.
- Former Disney experience
- Major or previous coursework in Musical Theater, Arts, Entertainment or Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related major preferred
Responsibilities
- Offer vital administrative and logistical support, assisting with marketing, planning, and running auditions and external engagements.
- Support the execution of auditions for various roles, such as character performers, dancers, singers, and actors, and suggest improvements to the candidate experience.
- Work with Casting Marketing to develop targeted strategies and innovative ways for promoting audition opportunities via social media.
- Evaluate online submissions and advise Casting Directors on whom to call back.
- Participate in the production of virtual workshops and learning sessions to engage the Disney Auditions audience.
- Apply creative sourcing methods to build talent pipelines and research new markets to attract high-quality candidates for challenging roles like face characters and tumblers/gymnasts.
- Help streamline the audition process and improve the overall talent acquisition strategy.
