About The Position
The Waterford at Thousand Oaks, a premier retirement community in San Antonio, TX, provides quality care to residents in an Independent Living community. We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our team and contribute to the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This role involves ensuring all tableware and cookware are properly cleaned and sanitized, maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas, and assisting the cook during meal periods. We utilize cutting-edge technology to enhance resident care and streamline job functions, including SafelyYou AI video technology, Advanced EHR Technologies, Sage for call light response, and Microsoft Power BI for data needs. Requirements
- Ability to push/pull objects and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis (occasionally up to 50 pounds, unassisted).
- Enjoys working in an environment that caters exclusively to the elderly.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and sanitizes all tableware and cookware used in the service and preparation of meals to the guests.
- Cleans and organizes all dish areas and storage areas as necessary and as directed.
- Handles the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas.
- Assists the cook on the serving line during meal periods.
- Washes and inspects all dishware and glassware.
- Stores clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in proper places.
- Keeps the dishwashing machine and dish room in clean operating condition.
- Sweeps and mops the kitchen area and waitress stations.
- Cleans filters over the stove area.
