About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and assisting with food preparation and service. The dishwasher will wash dishes, maintain work areas, prepare place settings, manage trash, clean floors, and assist with food preparation and receiving/storing supplies. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle various physical demands.

Requirements

Possess a High School diploma or GED with (1) year of related experience.
Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit a professional attitude and appearance.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Work well independently exercising judgment and initiative, as well as in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
Must be able to work unsupervised.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Be able to work in fast paced kitchen environment.
Be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time.
Must pass background check.
NON-SLIP SHOES REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
Prepare and package individual place settings.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Sweep and scrub floors.
Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies.
Receive and store supplies.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
