About The Position

The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Utility to join their Food & Beverage team. This entry-level position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware. The role is full-time, year-round, and offers a starting pay of $17.20 per hour. The schedule typically involves 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. The Grand Hotel is located just one mile from the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park and is part of the Xanterra Travel Collection.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements include: Constantly: Stand, walk and lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
Frequently: Reach outward & over shoulder, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, and lift/carry up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
Focus on always providing exceptional quality of service to guests while maximizing profitability, both in how work is conducted and when interacting with guests.
Clean and sanitize all cooking and eating utensils (not including large chefs/prep/or carving knives) utilizing an automated dishwashing machine.
Clean and sanitize all dishware and glassware utilizing an automated dishwashing machine.
Clean and sanitize all pots/pans utilizing approved hand-washing techniques and procedures.
Clean and sanitize all dish areas including the pots/pans sink.
Clean dish floors by sweeping and mopping.
Take out trash and clean trash receptacles as needed throughout shift.
Restock dishes and eating utensils on the buffet lines.
Maintain and deep clean dish machine.
Maintain organization of pots and pan storage room.
Perform other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, assisting other stations.
Other duties as assigned.
