About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring all service and kitchen wares are clean and sanitized. The Dishwasher interacts with fellow team members and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. The work environment is representative of a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment within the hospitality industry.

Requirements

  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate.
  • Must be able to move quickly.
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • May work extended hours, irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards.
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous porter and/or Dishwasher experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all service/kitchen wares are clean and sanitized.
  • Interact with fellow team members and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of all employees.
  • Aid in cleaning inside and outside the venue.
  • Proper storage and removal of garbage and soiled linens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dish station, the kitchen, and the entire venue.
  • Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the dish machine.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
  • Possess general knowledge of the venue.
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Communicate product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
  • Properly set-up dish station and perform opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including stocking stations, maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment, wiping down and sanitizing stations, and completing opening/closing duties.
  • Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings (where applicable).
  • Attend and participate in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
  • Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
  • Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
  • Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
