Dishwasher (Full Time)
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for full time DISHWASHER positions at Texas Woman's University. This role is responsible for maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The position involves scraping and rinsing food from dirty dishes, washing them by hand or machine, and ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Additional duties include polishing silver, maintaining temperatures and chemical levels, keeping the dish area orderly and safe, sweeping and mopping floors, washing food prep surfaces, removing trash, steaming/hosing out garbage cans, and transferring supplies. The role may also involve helping to load and unload supplies and product. This is a full-time position with a schedule that may vary, including nights and weekends. The company offers training for this role.
Requirements
- Prior dishwashing experience is preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to a dishwashing machine.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays.
- Polishes silver using the appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
