About The Position

The Dishwasher / Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and food & beverage operations. This role ensures all dishware, cookware, equipment, and service areas are cleaned, stocked, and maintained to support efficient operations and exceptional guest service. The Dishwasher / Porter also assists with inventory, deliveries, event support, and general kitchen upkeep.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in dishwashing, stewarding, porter, warehouse, food service, or hospitality operations preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food service sanitation, safety practices, and kitchen operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions associated with dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and material handling; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, pots, pans, workstations, and food preparation areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, storage areas, and service corridors.
  • Monitor inventory levels and obtain supplies, equipment, and products as needed for assigned areas.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, unloading pallets, stocking storerooms, and replenishing service stations.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and maintain adequate stock levels within assigned areas.
  • Transport food, supplies, equipment, and other materials safely and efficiently throughout the operation.
  • Support event and operational setup, breakdown, and other assigned functions as needed.
  • Complete assigned opening and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all sanitation and food safety requirements.
  • Provide timely, professional support to team members to ensure efficient operation and service delivery.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
