Requirements

• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Basic reading skills are necessary to understand cleaning instructions and safety guidelines.
• The ability to lift and carry heavy items is crucial for moving large pots, pans, and stacks of dishes.
• Standing for extended periods is a common requirement, as the Dishwasher will be on their feet throughout their shift.
• Regular and reliable attendance ensures that the kitchen operates smoothly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.
• Assist in the organization and storage of clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
• Support kitchen staff by providing clean tools and equipment in a timely manner.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Benefits

• Paid time off, 1 hour per every 40 hours worked up to year 3; 1.54 hours per every 40 hours worked thereafter; eligible after 90 days.
