About The Position
Provider Contract Food Service specializes in providing culinary and hospitality excellence to our clients for the past 18 years. Our location at Nelson University in Waxahachie, TX, is currently looking to build our Food Service Team in the position of Dishwasher. The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
Requirements
- Ability to change dishwater every hour.
- Ability to wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
- Ability to remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Ability to set up or break down dishwashing area.
- Ability to clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Ability to fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Ability to sweep/mop floors.
- Ability to sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
- Ability to wipe up spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
- Ability to notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glasses, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
- Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
- Change the dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
- Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
- Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Set up or break down dishwashing area.
- Clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Sweep/mop floors.
- Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
- Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
- Other duties as directed.
