About The Position

Aspira Credit River Retirement Living is seeking a Dishwasher to join their team. This is an existing position with a rate of pay of $18.08 per hour. The shifts are Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM. At Sienna, the focus is on building lasting relationships with residents and cultivating happiness in daily life. The organization believes in serving seniors with comfort, dignity, and respect.

Requirements

• Grade 10 minimum education required.
• Must have Smart Serve designation.
• One year experience in dining room service.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Excellent command of verbal and written English language.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.

Nice To Haves

• Safe Food Handling Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' health and well-being by ensuring dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas are clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Contribute to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
• Clean dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures.
• Ensure correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas, i.e. uses 3-sink method for pot washing.
• Clean kitchen, including mopping entire floor.
• Assume cleaning tasks as per site cleaning schedules.
• Receive, uncrate, and put away supplier deliveries as required.
• Alert team leader to problems and makes recommendations about corrective action.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
