About The Position

Restaurant Associates, a leading provider of dining and event catering for prestigious institutions, has openings for full and part-time Dishwasher positions at the National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, VA. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas. The company is recognized as a "Best Places to Work" by Glassdoor. Requirements

Previous dishwashing experience is preferred.
Willing to train.
Weekend availability is required.
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays.
Polishes silver using appropriate equipment and procedures.
Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Helps load and unload supplies and product.
Performs other duties as assigned.
