About The Position
We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team! This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. The dishwasher will sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Additionally, this position supports stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
Nice To Haves
- Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
Responsibilities
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom
- Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes
- Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift
- Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner
- Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas
- Monitor and empty trash cans
- Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
- Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
